I Tried the Kitsch Satin Heatless Hair Curling Set, and I’m Obsessed

Published on

Blow-drying, straightening, bleaching, curling, yanking it up into tight ponytails – we really do put our hair through the wringer.

It is well-known that the constant use of heat styling tools can be extremely damaging to your hair, and worst case scenario, can fry them beyond repair.

Heatless hair curlers are nothing new (remember hair rollers?), but the latest hair curl technique circulating TikTok For You Pages seems easier than ever. It starts with wrapping hair around a satin headband, leaving it in while you’re getting ready for the day, then removing it to reveal perfect curls.

Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set Review

Heatless hair curling methods never worked for me in the past — until I tried the Kitsch heatless curling set. It’s time-saving, super simple to use, and the satin construction of the headband keeps the hair frizz-free and prevents breakage. The kit, which retails for $18, comes with a foam curling rod and two satin scrunchies.

Using it is extremely simple: divide damp hair into two parts, place the satin curling rod on top of the head and secure it using a claw clip, then simply wrap your hair around the rod away from the face and use the satin scrunchies provided to hold the hair in place. This method can be used on all hair lengths, only took 10 minutes to put in and resulted in frizz-free hair, with the most voluminous and bouncy curls that are so soft to touch.

I also like to use it on my air-dried hair to achieve the most gorgeous beachy waves: I spray a little texturizing spray or beach wave spray on my hair and then complete the same method that I do with damp hair. I leave it for lesser time, usually two hours and the result is typically looser curls.

Pro Tip: If you are looking for softer beachy waves, then take large hair sections and loosely wrap them around the curling rod. If you prefer more defined curls, I suggest you take smaller sections and wrap them tightly around the rod.

Been using this for about a month now and I’ve gotta say, the curls really last (mine last 2 days) and they are beautiful. This product is comfortable and easy to use! I’ll admit the curls first thing in the morning after an overnight set are CURLY but then they relax into beautiful waves and I LOVE it!! Definitely recommend!

I never write reviews but I am really amazed by this product. As someone who spends no time on haircare but loves the beach wave look, this really seems like a miracle product! I put the thing on after watching a couple YouTube videos and even tho I’m sure I didn’t do it perfectly, my hair still looked amazing in the morning!

This heatless curling set works surprisingly well for my long, thick hair! I’ve received so many compliments on my hair after using it. It takes less than 5 minutes to set up and it couldn’t be easier to use. I’ve had better luck with longer lasting curls when my hair is mostly or completely dry than if my hair is still damp. This curling set is definitely a game-changer for lazy people who still want their hair to look cute!
