You’ve most likely heard of, or perhaps tried, a face mask. Just as a face mask nourishes and hydrates your skin, a hair mask works in a similar way to boost the overall health of your hair. Apple Cider Vinegar and Olive Oil Hair Mask
Olive oil contains squalene, which is produced naturally by the body but declines as we age. Squalene is essential for moisturized hair and skin whereas the antibacterial and anti-fungal properties of ACV (apple cider vinegar) help to keep the pH level of the scalp balanced.
Making your own hair mask is pretty easy and can be fun, too. Let’s see what do we require to make the easiest homemade hair mask, You may want to increase or decrease the quantity of the ingredients, depending on the length of your hair.
Ingredients:
- Olive Oil – 4 teaspoons
- Apple cider vinegar – 1 teaspoon
Method:
Mix these two ingredients thoroughly. Apply this mixture generously on your scalp or just the ends or both, however you like. Massage gently. Wait for an hour or so and then wash your hair with your favorite shampoo. For the final rinse, follow with an apple cider vinegar hair rinse if you’d like.
Avoid getting apple cider vinegar in your eyes, as this may sting. If it does come in contact with your eyes, rinse well with plenty of water.
How often:
As a general rule of thumb, use once per week (although this can vary depending on your hair type).
