Karl Lagerfeld might have skipped the show, but his vision was certainly palpable with each look that made it down the runway. The finale of the Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2019 show, presented earlier today at the Grand Palais in Paris which was transformed into a Chanel Villa set.
Inspired by luxury textiles of 18th century and the precise tailoring of the 1980s, the Victorian era gowns at Chanel were adorned with dried flowers and hand-painted sequins. Scroll through to see the pictures from the show.
