Creative Director Silvia Venturini Fendi debuted her first solo womenswear collection after Karl passed away earlier this year. Inspired by the blissful feeling most associated with the long summer days and afternoons spent in the sun, she described her new season collection as ‘a solar mood’.
The collection is wearable, playful and whimsical. In line with the offering’s summery vibes, the palette ranged from deep shades of orange and rust, right the way through to bright yellow and khaki green.
Accessories came in the form of huge tote bags, tinted 70s sunglasses, and swinging chandelier earrings bearing the Italian fashion house’s logo. The rising sun provided the backdrop of Fendi’s SS20 show and on the soundtrack? “Let the Sunshine In” because what else was it going to be?
